3rd Saturdays March-October, 10-noon. Work and learning days in the South Shore Cultural Center Nature Sanctuary.
Next spring, but see November 18. Note that construction of a new beachhouse necessitates a sandy detour. There is a box with flyers identifying species and with family activities.

November 18, Monday, 8 AM. Chicago Audubon holds a bird walk walk in the Nature Sanctuary. Meet behind the Center. Note that due to construction plan to walk on sand (possibly wet).

November 18, Monday, 6:30 pm (reception, then 7 pm:) Open House. Then The Room for huMans Open Mic (a RE:Centering event, targeted esp. for teens, but all welcome) and simultaneously Black Harvest Film Festival- "A Black Harvest Feast" with free screening of 5 shorts by Midwestern Filmmakers with Q & A.Targeted to persons in 20's, 30s.
