Nichols garden beds under construction, between the current formal garden and the new plaza at the building. December, 2003

The new beds were larger than in the community-park district agreed plan of Spring 2003. The council worried about the changes that traffic flow would be constrained (maybe encouraging kids to cut across the beds) and they encroach on the plaza. Modifications are being negotiated and in progress.
